Measurement of semiconductor is a versatile and useful system for
physics and basic electronics laboratories. In Nvis 6105, Band Gap can
be measured by using Four Probe Method. This is one of the widely used
methods for measuring the Resistivity and Band Gap of semiconductors. A
collinear four-probe arrangement has been used. In this system, we
provide the pressure contacts with sample to take quick measurement on
different positions. The setup is equipped with microcontroller based
display for simultaneous measurement of voltage, current and
temperature. Computer interfacing helps in automatic calculations and
analysis.

A motor-blower exhaust system generates negative pressure within the hood, extracting the contaminated air from the work area and expelling in into the atmosphere and preventing the fumes from escaping into the room. CONSTRUCTION : The main body of the fumes hood is asbestos or FRP lined. The work surface (worktable) is of stainless steel sheet. A small S.S. Sink, water tap and water outlet provided. A sliding door made of acrylic, moves vertically up/down with counter balanced weight operated by steel rope. Hood is provided with fluorescent light for easy working in the chamber. Compression Testing Machine (Pillar Type Load Frame) Hand Operated for Concrete Testing - These are four pillar type load frames. Four solid pillars are vertically fixed to a sturdy base and at other end is fixed a cross head. The height of the cross head is also slightly adjustable. A gauge 200mm is fixed in the centre of cross head. To the lower end of this lead screw is fixed upper platen with a spherical seat for self alignment. At the centre of the base plate is fixed a jack, on the top of which the lower platen with the help of a centering pin is kept. The distance between the upper and lower platen is variable by means of the lead screw. A spacer block is also supplied with the load frame. This spacer block which can be fitted on the top of the jack and below the lower platen by means of centering pins helps reduce the distance between the two platens. The platens are well machined, polished and hardened. The lower platen has concentric grooves to centrally place the specimen. A dust cover for jack is supplied to prevent any going in the jack. POZZOLANA Cement Mortar Permeability Apparatus (Three Cell Model) for Cement Testing - water proofing of concrete admixture and special water proof cements are used. Water proofing of these compounds, is established by measuring permeability of standard mortar. Specimen with or without such water proofing compounds. Permeability apparatus in used to determine permeability to water of cement mortar specimens with or without water proofing compound. Specification : The mortar permeability apparatus comprises three brass/ gun metal cells mounted on a stand and a pressure chamber with a pressure regulator. The cell can accommodate 100mm dia x 50mm high specimen. Each cell assembly consists of the base plate. The base plate has one outlet for water and is recessed to hold the specimen in place with a ring washer in between. The top plate has an inlet for water and a suitable connector for the application of pressurized water in the cell the mount and collar are clamped between the base plate and the top plate with the help of four tension rods and nuts. The cells are mounted on a stand. The pressure chamber is fitted with a pressure regulator which helps in regulating the pressure from 0-7kg/sq. cm. The regulator has two pressure gauges, one for indicating the pressure in the chamber (0-10.5kg/sq.cm.) The pressure chamber is connected to the cells with pressure hoses and with couplings. This pressure chamber is fitted with valve. Pressure is applied to the pressure chamber with help of a foot pump and rubber hose which are supplied with the instrument.
